Three days to go and the closing kick is on. Biathlon mass start events — if not already contested — are a late-Games staple, and cross-country skiing continues grinding through its distance program. Speed skating may feature the 1000m or 1500m finals at Baselga di Piné, races that often come down to hundredths of a second.

Short track speed skating wraps up its program with championship finals in Milan, and the arena will be electric. Freestyle skiing and snowboard events wind down in Livigno with any remaining finals.

Ice hockey semifinal and bronze-medal games are on the docket, setting the stage for the gold-medal matchups. Bobsled four-person heats continue at Cortina. The medal table is nearly final, but a few surprises are still possible.
