Day 3 brings the first alpine skiing medals, and American fans will want to be awake for it. Giant slalom is expected to headline the morning session in Cortina d’Ampezzo, with two runs spread across the early hours ET. Biathlon continues with individual events at Anterselva, and luge singles competition kicks off on the Cortina sliding track.
Speed skating at Baselga di Piné delivers another medal event on the outdoor oval, and freestyle skiing continues its early-Games push. Snowboard slopestyle qualifying could also begin in Livigno.
Sunday mornings and the Winter Olympics go together perfectly. Pour the coffee early — first events hit as early as 3:30 a.m. ET / 12:30 a.m. PT, with medal ceremonies carrying through the late morning.
